About a month ago the front left area of my 98 expedition eddie bauer started squeaking really bad. its really loud in person and really annoying. i had my brakes replaced by my mechanic and i asked them to check out the squeak. when i picked it up they said that they couldnt figure out what the squeak was and that everything is tight and oiled up. so now im on a mission to fix it myself. heres a video of the sound

Definitely the ball joints, had the same problem. I replaced both my lower and uppers with Moog brand and it went away. They come with the zerks so you can keep them greased. I am 99% sure that is your problem as well, especially if the ball joints are still stock.

X10 on the ball joints. Mine sound like that after every mud bog and the wash afterwards. Quick greasing will work for you if they are the greasable kind. Your video always changes direction just before you get to the ball joints to see if you have the little grease zerk or nipple. But it's an annoying sound for sure. Get er' greased up.

get a needle attachment for your grease gun and puncture you BJs, thats what I did and it fixed it, but new ball joints are in your future

The next two areas would be control arm bushings and spring pads. Easiest way to determine if they are the source would be with a stethoscope.

I'm going to go with Stamps suggestion of upper/lower control arm bushings. Try spraying the bushings with silicone spray. Also try the puncture of ball joints with grease needle and see if that helps. Bottom line is something is rubbing metal on metal, causing the squeak. Older Chevy pickup trucks from 60's and 70's were famous for that creaking sound!

just going over the works myself after powerwashing the undersides & ending up with a few squeak/creaks...

another place is the back end area of the torsion bars

They have torsion bar front suspension... They squeak easy. Go under your SUV with a can of WD40 or PB blaster Lithium and your safety glasses and spray every pivot point... It will stop but you have to do it every 6 months or so. That is if some of the zerk fittings don't let grease through... Try greasing it first.

Could also be your stabilizer/sway bar links. My 01 EB started sounding like a squeeky mouse. Replaced the links, which have bushings that go bad, and the squeek is gone. $25 parts....

Had a creaking like in the original poster's video on a 87 full size bronco and it turned out to be one of my front shocks was seizing up. New shocks fixed the problem.
