Expy is 99% done being lifted!
Got the new upper control arms and ball joints installed today and put on the new tie rod end and sway bar end links...
All in all it got about 3.75" total of lift out of adding the new complete struts which are a little stiffer and the 3.5"/2.5" leveling kit.
Tomorrow I'll have it aligned and will be driving in the afternoon FINALLY. It's been apart since I started the lift on Saturday.

Anyways, here's some pics I grabbed real quick of before and after and the struts! Any question on what parts I used or how to take anything apart pm me or quote me on here!
Got a lot of other things planned as well..
Thanks guys!

Edit: For those looking to offroad: with this setup, at my lowest point, I'm getting a little over 11" total of minimum ground clearance.. That's a measurement from the ground to one the lower exhaust hangers

Is it just me or does it look like the rear wheel body opening is about an inch further back, moving front of the opening closer to the wheel.....other than that it looks badass!. What brand lift/leveling kit did you use?

Yeah they all get like that.. With larger tires it'll look better but I used the 3.5/2.5 eBay lift kit it's only about $100

Sweet...any issue with the front or rear axle shafts being extended out under full droop?

I mean it is kind of a bad angle for them but doesn't seem to be much of an issue... Rides fine and holds up fine and I'd would day they should last almost as long as they would at stock height. Only this is with the level lift kit you really only get a tiny bit of downtravel so the articulation of suspension isn't as good offroad

I changed the spark plugs today at 95K. The first one (driver side rear) took me about 45 minutes, but the rest came out fairly easily. I was on the fence about using anti-seize (I normally don't), but after the trouble I had with that first plug I decided to use a very light coating of Motorcraft High Temp Nickel Anti-Seize. For anyone tackling a tuneup on this engine for the first time, I highly recommend having regular/stubby flex head socket wrenches and a set of extensions (3-4", 6", and 10-12") at the ready. Having them on hand made the job 100x easier than it would have been otherwise.

I changed the oil today. Dealership did it last time while fixing an oil leak under warranty. The drain plug was way too tight. :flame:

Been awhile since I posted... Installed the trans go E4od-hd2 shift kit. Couldn't be happier with how firm the shifts are now. Also got my hands on some PI heads from an '03 for free. Working on cleaning those up and getting them ready for when I rebuild the engine. As of now I'm at just shy of 280k miles and she's still running strong, just need that little bump in power.

Got my MAC muffler and black oval exhaust tip on. Nothing crazy but a nice throaty rumble.
