My truck died, so I followed the instructions on youtube, and its the relay in the fusebox.

On ebay the going rate seems to be about $65 to repair them.

Problem is I'm in the UK and all parts have to come from the US, meaning I can't get mine repaired.

So I need to buy either a new one or a good used one, anyone know of a source of either?

You would be better buying a new one If you get a used one you may wind up having the same problem

BTW welcome to the Forum.

If you order a new fuse box make sure you match the part numbers Its on a tag on the side of the fuse box

It would still be nice to have a new relay though, anywhere where I can buy a new one?

Check e-bay

My suggestion for the jumper is just a temporary fix

If your any good at doing solder work on a circuit board you can make the repair

Looks like I just need a $9 omron relay, and someone with soldering skills, happy days!

Sounds like your not the soldering type. Pull the fuse box, any quality electronics repair shop that works on stereo/tv or computers should be able to handle job. Don't you have a Ford dealership or auto parts store to buy relay. Push come to shove order the relay online. Their out there. Their should be a part number on top of old relay, along with the numbered connections on other side.

These were never officially imported, so Ford won't sell me anything, in general most parts can come from Rock Auto, who are cheap and shipping only takes 3 days, but they don't list fuse boxes.

There might be 5 or 6 Gen 2 expeditions here in total, quite a rare car.

Well with no automotive parts stores in your town or nearby, you'll have to order online. Question is do you have an electronics repair or auto repair that can solder in new one, if you can't or don't want to tackle job.

Theirs a place online called parts request .com that does the repair on your old fuse box. Looks like $75.00 to do repair. You might look into it if you can't find repair on your side of the pond.

Does anyone know if these are upgraded or better quality relays they use or are they just prone to blow again? Is it a good idea for us '03-04 owners to keep a spare fuse panel in the truck?

Spare fuse panel would cost about $350.00 The relays have been updated and should be better than the original relays
