2014 Horn not Honking

I have a 2014 Ford Expedition that the horn won't honk with the center pad but honks with the alarm....
I believe the problem is with the center pad...does anyone know what it could be and how to remove the center pad?

Welcome to the forum. If I am not mistaken there are 2 one for the alarm and one for the regular horn - I could be wrong about that but that's what I remember. You might want to test the horn itself first to see if it is working and that it's not just a corroded terminal.

Center pad removal should be similar.

that center pad is also the airbag. proceed with caution

it might be a bad clockspring or just a fuse

I had the same issue on a 2010. Alarm/door lock horn was fine, no steering console horn. Ended up being the clockspring. I let my mechanic do that one since I wasn't messing with the airbag.

I currently have the same situation on my '14. If the steering wheel is all the way up to the top, the horn honks. If I lower it a couple notches, it doesn't work. What would cause this, anybody? Thanks!

Sounds like a possible broken wire in the harness that runs along the steering column.
