I've been on this website for a little over three years, and in that time I've encountered my share of the occasional opinionated viewer. It's just part of dealing with an open forum. As stated before, you can't be thinned skinned, and last out here. Just consider the source, and thank your lucky stars you don't live next door to the guy. Theirs a lot of Automotive talent on our site, that contribute their time for free. Could you imagine going to your Dealer mechanic, and getting him to tell you how to fix your Suv. Maybe 40 years ago, but today at $175.00 an hour, not bloody likely!

Here where I live, (luckily I don't have a warranty on my vehicle) the shop I go to and will continue to do so, cuts me slack on how much an item he had to get was, my truck was in the shop for week due to my carbon build up, the cleaning of the carbon, seafoaming, new plugs and four new coils, $256. I was amazed. He told me, he knows since I'm 20 and working full time that money gets tight with my truck and expenses he gave me a deal. Like thank you!!

That's a fantastic price for all the work. It's good to see that some mechanics will cut you slack when you don't have a lot of money. You will have to remember him as you get older and pull in with your new Lincoln Navigator. Give him a $50 tip and say I remember when you where there me. He'll be amazed.
