I have a bulletproofed 6.0 Excursion and love it. And as was stated plenty of people still love them. Out here in California, diesels are still going for 17-20k

The Excursion didn't fit or work back in the early 2000's, what makes you think people want a newer version now.

I just thought of one, a manual transmission.
I'd totally do a stick shift if I could.
For me?
I'd rather just have waaay more integration with F150 or F250
In fact, I just want a ******* F150 or F250 with a roof and third row.
With 100% interchangeable parts everywhere except where ACTUALLY unavoidable (so same headlights, grilles, mirror mounts, dashes, hoods, front doors etc)
I sold my 05 6.0 Excursion with 75k miles for $28k to buy my 2017 Expy. I didn't really drive it a much as I should have. Unison ring in the turbo kept rusting.
The Expy drives nicer and is safer with more airbags and traction control & RSC. I do miss the diesel torque though.
The same performance parts (like programmers) that are available for the F150.
Maybe generally but for an accident with another vehicle your safer in an excursion. F-250s pretty much annihilate anything they hit lol. IIHS always harps on the fact that weight is safety in an accident, because the vehicle that weighs less takes all the backlash and force. the excursion weighs in at 7,688 pounds and the expy only 6,000. If it were an accident between the two we lose, Big Time.
Our 2016 is our 2nd one. We had a 2004 before. I love the engine and tranny in this one, however... My wish list would be the following.
1. Towing mirrors, not the stupid strap on kind.
2. Decent shock selection. I had Rancho quick lifts on my last one, and they were great for towing.
3. If I couldnt have the above, solid rear axle.
4. More lift kits available. Maybe even put it on bags, so I can raise it and lower it.
5. The same performance parts (like programmers) that are available for the F150.
Should be easy... right?

Tow mirrors, easy
1A Auto has F150-style tow mirrors that fit Expeditions 03-17 (normal F150 uses a different base alas)... imho a must-have even without towing in certain conditions, if your area involves a lot of backing out of places you cant uturn, parallel parking, etc

Chrome is Dorman F150 replacement covers (not caps), direct fit, bought em because they're really invisible at night in black, didnt want people whacking them off
As to Ranchos... I know theyre available for 07-13 cuz i got em, still none out for 14-17???
All the tow mirrors I have found say they don't fit '15-'17, although I can't imagine them being much different.
Same goes for the Ranchos. From 2013 on, they don't make them for the Expedition. Same thing though, I can't imagine them being different either. As I recall, the suspension really didn't change much all through Gen 3. At one time I started doing a part to part comparison between 2013 and 2016. I really didnt see anything different. I could be missing something though. I have been meaning to call Rancho and find out.
Thanks
