Before I roll around under my truck, can someone tell me the approximate location of the fuel filter. 2007 EL Limited. I have done many E150's and Explorers and finding it is usually the hardest part.

It "should" be on the frame rail, I believe on the drivers side. Just follow the fuel line from the tank and you'll run into it.

Hey thanks. FYI it is actually attached by a bracket to the front of the fuel tank. Right under drivers seat.

Watch the mythbuster episode on them trying to get a cars gas tank to explode by running it off a cliff... they found that the upper middle part of the chassis is actually the least likely place to get impacted.

Got an 03 and it was hidden by a cover you have to remove. It kinda snaps in on the front of the fuel tank...

If you have the tool, its a 5 minute job... Just did mine today... No problems at all..

No cover on my 07. Real easy to get to, just the weather here in northern Illinois went to hell and to do any work on this EL I need the garage door open, so I'll wait for better temps. I have the tool as I drove E-150's for years.
