I’m curious to see what will be on the ‘19’s, but I’m planning on trading whatever they are for Michelin Defender LTX M/S before mine leaves the lot.

I bought a new 2015 Expedition Limited 4x4 - and it was equipped with Hankook all-terrain tires. They were terrible in the rain and show. I rarely go off road and didn’t need the all terrain tires - but Ford would not permit you to choose all season tires. If you bought a 2WD model, you would receive all season tires instead.

I had four Michelin Defender LTX M/S tires put on my Expedition and they are VERY GOOD tires. Much better than the Hankook tires.

Limited 4x4 20" rims came with Toyo HTs. The Toyo's didn't cut it for me so I swapped on some Goodyear Duratracs.

Did you get the same size for the duratracs? I'm considering swapping it since my F150 has duratracs on it and these tires are lasting forever, lol. How's noise level when you are driving the duratracs?

18” rims all come with Michelin Primacy XCs. I yelled and screamed about getting them into FX4 when I was promised AT tires. Eventually Ford caved and agreed to swap them for Goodyear Wrangler Adventures, which are adequate... I think when these wear out I’m going to go with the Duratracs or step up to an E rated tire and the the BF Goodrich KO2s...

Hancook ATs, agree with the poster above, surprisingly terrible in wet, slush and wet snow especially given they are new with full tread depth, god knows what they'll be like part worn.

Loving the Toyo G3-ice I put on last week for winter.

Well, I currently find myself sitting in the dealership with my third flat in 11k miles. I think it’s fair to say I don’t think highly of the Dynapros. I was going to throw a set of Michelin’s on while I was here, but my intelligent wife reminded me we’re getting a new roof next week...so the four rubber nail magnets commonly called tires will almost certainly pick up a few new holes during that process.

Booooo Dynapro HTs. The service guy confirmed they stink and many/most people pull them off.

I agree on the Dynapros, had them on the Explorer where they are even worse with the FWD. They are greasy slick and get worse with age. Bet that screw wouldn't penetrate a Michelin!

I dont know but I had BFGs and Michelin’s on my F150 and went 65k miles with 0 flats. I’ve now had three in 11k on these things. One of which required a replacement. And this newest one is sorta close to the sidewall so they tried to tell me it couldn’t be patched either...THIS IS THE NEWEST TIRE. I convinced them to patch it.

Screws don't discriminate tires...if it is long enough, it will penetrate. I don't think nail/screw look at the tires and say "well, that's Michelin...better move on to the next vehicle with non BFG or Mich".

I had Mich on my vehicles...neighborhood got tons of new roofs...and I had to get many replacements as well. Just saying.

Also, I just looked up at the cost of 22" tires...well, when we purchase our vehicle, we maybe looking for 18" tires/wheels (stock) to save some cost on tires. 18" should more comfortably anyways, both in rides and wallet. LOL

Stepped down to an 18" rim and an LT275/65r18 Duratrac due to the horrendous terrain I travel on quite regularly and better for towing. Noise is more noticeable, nothing crazy. I hardly notice it now because I've ran lot of sets of Duratrac's over the years.

I guess you could say that you've been "screwed" by those tires multiple times!

To be fair, the second flat was due to a giant hunk of rebar I picked up through the sidewall on the shoulder of a freeway (my 2yo had wriggled out of his car seat and alerted us to his escape by trying to climb in the front seat with us...so we had to make a quick stop to tie him back down).

Point being: I don't think any tire would have survived that one.

LOL, I hear ya, My F150 is so loud from the straight pipe, I can barely notice the tire noise. Good to hear from some real user on this tire with the Expedition! Thanks!

Was the more noise from the tire (brand) or having it as 18” rim?
