NAME, THAT, PART!!

That's right ladies and gentlemen; from the producers who brought you "Where's that rattling plastic noise coming from?" and "The dealership wants how much?!" Comes every car owners favorite game show, NAME, THAT, PART!; where you get to tell me just what the heck the part in the picture is!

Came home from work today and found this lying on the floor of the garage....it was right where the rear end of the truck would have been this morning. (2016 Expy)

My guess is that it's a heat shield from the exhaust pipe. There's no part numbers (at least that I can see) Looks like the "pinch clamps" or whatever you call them finally gave way. (Doesn't surprise me, this truck came from Baltimore)

Unless you think otherwise, I'm not in a hurry to replace it. Looks like theres plenty of space surrounding the exhaust pipe.

Two new hose clamps and you're back in business. The shield looks fine. just strap it back on. I'm guessing thats the shield between the pipe and the plastic housing for the spare tire. You probably don't need it unless you do a lot of idling.

Thank you! You wouldn't by chance be able to take a picture of it so I know exactly where to re-clamp it, would you? I'll buy you a 6 pack.

No bc I’ve done the rear resonator delete. It goes up there somewhere where the pipe goes over the suspension. Don’t really need it
