I have a Platinum, and while every single headlight and taillight is LED, Ford sought to save a buck or two by making the reverse lights halogen. Go figure.
It isn’t just the reverse light. I think the front turn signal is also halogen.

I believe the led lights have led turn signals because they look different than the turn signals on the halogen lights

I can’t get the old puddle lights out. I feel like I am about to break them. Any suggestions?

I tried and they won’t come out. Now I think I may have broken one.

This is as far as I get.

I ended up breaking the factory lights to get them out. They would pull down such that they were aaaaaaalmost about to come out but I couldn't get the edge to fit through the opening. So i just broke them and removed the pieces. Oh well.

And before anyone says something, yes, I followed the instructions in the video, but it just didn't work out that easily in reality...story of my life: it's never as easy as it seems on YouTube.

Figured it out you have to “pop” off the clear lens to get it to fit out. Will keep stock ones just for back ups.

Word to those that are doing it tape your tools so less likely to scratch.

Using 2 flat head screw drivers at a time on both tabs they pop right out. Once you figure it out it’s pretty easy.

Got em on, they look great. Next project, the headlights.

Agreed once they are on they look great. And I can always “reseal” the old covers if needed.

The license plates “freebies” rock, just wish Ford had installed the right one so it was facing the middle of the car. Seems to be wasted light. Just my OCD. ;)

Just picked up my '19 Platinum last night. I had already pre-ordered the DriveBright LEDs for the puddles and the license plate lights, but... the puddle lights are already LED! The plate lights are definitely incandescent though...

Hmm so there's now a genuine Ford/Motorcraft LED upgrade option? 4th gen uses same size right?

How bright is it? The aftermarkets are hella bright but somewhat obnoxious & you can see the individual chips reflected off the finish (at least on black metallics)
