really? those are cheap? hmm.. thought they were kinda pricey, but okay!

which would you recommend for a better fit? 16x8 or 16x12?

yeah i liked the wheels as well as the price, they were in the "sale" section, that's why.

thanks again for all the info! don't know what i'd do without you guys!

and thanks in advance for going through all the trouble to find me the shock information.

i like the 16X8 because they dont stick out to far... i think Walnuts is running 16X10 which would be a choice if you might go bigger so 8 or 10 wide more of a personal choice... your very welcome for the info please post pics as you go

i agree. go with the 16x8. you will probably get a little rubbing with the 16x10 when you turn. and dont worry about asking a bunch of questions. thats what the forum is all about. these guys wont steer you wrong. and definitely post up pics of the progress, especially when she's gettin the body lift on....LOTS OF PICS!

lol, will do. didn't realize how expensive shocks were, but by the way... what does a steering stabilizer do?

also i heard getting a sway bars can help the truck feel more "sturdy"

my only concern with having it up so high and getting big tires is flipping... don't need that happening... lol

also, i should be able to drive it safely with stock 31's with the lift for a while until i can afford the tires, right?

you can drive it with stock tires and be fine. it might just look funny is all. i have never really had a problem with my expy being "rolly". if i am correct, the truck should come stock with sway bars. might just need new bushings. you really wont have to worry about being high and tipping over unless you are walnuts! i have the 4" lift on mine with 35's and i dont take it easy on her when im offroading. never any problems. just gotta be mindful when taking that 25 mph turn at 50! hahaha

with bigger wider tires you will get bump steer and wondering on rutted or un even roads the steering stabilizer will keep this under control.......... your expy already has swaybars front and rear... there are aftermarket one availible but are very pricy.... im working with a tech line to get longer sway bar links for the rear so the geometry of the rear sway bar is correct but its turning into a hassel..... yes you can roll on stock rubber but will be more tipsy till you get the taller wider tires

steering stabilizer IMO if your going to go bigger than BL and TT.... since with a Body lift your suspension is techn still stock since it only raises the body off the frame... a TT and spacer is a really a level/lift not a true lift so you dont need a stabilizer....

16x8 will probably be better if you want to run a 315 since a 16x10 will make the tire stick out further...

For black and silver rims... there are a few out there DC-2s like I got and tons more..... try fourwheelparts.com they will build packages and ship them with lug nuts (since aftermarket require different lugs) and they will be mounted and balanced... http://www.tirepackage.com/ is another company that sells everything ready to bolt on... I ordered a set of tires and rims for my dad's 04 F150 I had built a couple of years ago... tirerack is also pretty good...

For tires you can never go wrong with any BFG tire... but I am partial to ProComps since I bought the exteme ATs... love them... but another tire to look into is a general tire... saw them at 4x4 Jamboree in PA and I was impressed with there tires the new Grabber is sick but they only make up to a 315/75r16... I need bigger but the lettering is red... also their AT2 is very similar to the BFG AT and is cheaper which is a great tire too

as for flipping I wouldn't worry about it too much just realize your driving a modded SUV and not a sports car... but after a few days driving you'll get the feeling and never even think about it.. I do with 37s and 11" of lift

As for EBAY... set up a PAYPAL account before you buy.... basically you pay PAYPAL with a credit card and they pay the seller... that way the seller doesn't get any of your info.... also PAYPAL also gives you buyer protection and if something goes wrong with the transaction they will fight for you... so in a nut shell if you start using ebay set up a paypal acct and you'll be good to go... just go to ebay and paypal before you buy and read all the info they have posted and its pretty much straight foreward... I've been using ebay for years now and haven't had a problem yet... or see if any friends/relatives have an ebay account and talk to them

yeah going with that for sure.
but one thing, i was talking to an old friend of mine and he said he's not sure if i'm gonna be able to fit the 35's with the 3" body lift and if the leveling kit combined with the body lift will allow it.

the body lift is designed alone for 33" tires and the leveling kit alone is designed for 33" tires, so combined, the way i see it, should be able to fit 35's, right?

i hope there isn't any problems. he said we might also have to extend some of the harnesses.

the other guy i talked to that said 225 seems like a knuckle head, so i'm forgetting about him and going with my old friend.

i sort of want the same set up as KWT has, so let me know if he has any other mods that allow for the tires.

well I was u I would do it with your friend as long as you two feel capable of doing it...

As for harnesses the kits come with everything you need to extend and if you follow the steps it will tell you every little thing and all brackets come with the PA BLs...

As for 35s... the 315/75 is actually 34something... alittle smaller than 35s.. also since you likes AT tires they aren't as agressive as say a swamper of MT... and if you stick with a 8" rim the tire won't be as wide and less likely to rub... and if you do have minimal rubbing it will probably be on plastic part of bumper which can be trimmed... I have seen f150s with a 3"BL and cranked bars fit a 37 on stock rims... was tight as hell but they did it... my old 97 f150 had 9" of lift and was turning 38x15.5 Swamper TSLs... so 315s on a 8" wide rim with BL and TT (Torsion Twist) will fit... maybe some trimming but Lane and KWT2000 have your setup that you want they will be the best to ask... I'm wishing I had cash for some 40s...lol

okay, yeah i sent him the link for the body lift and he said he has more confidence in doing it now, i also sent him a pic of KWT2000's truck and he feels comfortable getting it set up now.

and yeah i was aiming for the BFG all terrain 315/75/16 tires with the 16x8 rims...

and i don't mind a LITTLE rubbing, just wanna be able to turn completely at all times, (i make a lot of U-turns, lol)

i am also going to be purchasing the gap guards.

one concern i had was with the metal wheel spacers, since it wheel be going on to metal (metal-to-metal) won't it cause a bit of noise?

what other options do i have for spacers?

metal spacers? the only spacer you should need is for the rear coils... and they wont squeak... you shouldn't need wheel spacers... the spacers in the rear sit on the coil and lift the vehicle however high of a level/spacer kit you buy...

If you go with wheel spacers then your gonna open a whole different can of worms...

wheel spacers= push rims outward from vehicle
coil spacer= lifts rear of vehicle and torsion bar crank lifts front
