It throws the parking brake on if you slide it into park before coming to a complete stop also. Its great in theory, but its also just another thing to go wrong in the future. I'll take my old foot engaged parking brake over this electronic stuff any day! Its the box we're in with people doing such stupid things now, we need to be protected from ourselves! Pretty sad!
Just put shifter back in and problem solved.

New WTF item, this 10 second video should explain it:
I know it worked correctly at one point! I think it started after the last time I towed, but, I didn't change DTE on display. Weird one!

Have you tried forgetting and repairing the phone? Is it all phones?
Oh yeah, a couple times... If I am plugged in with Android Auto or I'm just Bluetooth, same result. I just call back whoever called me and then it is fine. So, only on the incoming calls for a pixel 3 and a pixel 2...

Samsung S10 and same EXACT phone issues. When in for oil change I mentioned the issue and they said they hadn't heard of it. Tested it on their phones and everything was fine. I was not the one who picked up the Expy when done to test it. They suggested it was my phone and I should uninstall app (the PHONE feature on my PHONE). I uninstalled Android Auto app and unpaired and tried it again and it still won't work. I'll walk them through it next time.

I'll update if there's a solution found.

I can't stand the rotary shifter--completely un-intuitive and too easy to get the 4wd know lost in the mix. Trying to shuffle a rig like this into tight confines going R to D to R with some grace is very difficult to not bobble it into P at least once.

Be glad you don't have a Navigator and need to reach all the way up onto the dam dash to shift gears.
This feature has grown on me to the point that I want it in every vehicle I own unless it comes with a 3rd pedal.

Lol...”all the way”. Don’t even need to move my arm off the arm rest to reach the buttons. e2ff6bbf702df50fdc4790554d3e8feb.jpg

Eh it hasn’t “grown on me” but I’m indifferent to it and certainly prefer it over knobs. I dislike the rotary knob for drive modes...wish they didn’t “package up” everything. I’d like to choose my own 4x4 settings.

I did find an agreeable workaround to this one.

You can select headset or speaker after answering and then switch back to vehicle (whatever the expy would be, can't remember) and that works. Just have to do that bit of fiddling... WTF...

I like the expy one better as that position the kids can see you reaching up there and it's potentially less of a surprise when it smacks the back of their heads. [emoji12][emoji23]dd9eafb6b15bc78ee86ccfb9d2ef8b2e.jpg

OK I just found something weird and I want to see if anyone else has noticed this.

My wife tends to leave the passenger seat overhead light on from time to time. I notice it usually when coming out a while later to get something out of the truck. I would like to turn it off (even though I'm sure Ford has a battery saver feature in there somewhere that deactivates it anyway).

But, pushing the button does nothing! The only way I've found to turn it off is to turn the vehicle on (in accessory mode) and then push the light button. Then turn the truck off...

I find this mildly annoying, not because it's terribly inconvenient but because it seems like an obvious design oversight.

I've noticed the same thing with my 3rd row. It does shut off after a little bit and is only a very low draw LED, so, that doesn't bother me as much. But it being on used to be coupled with my frustration when I'm in there by myself after and notice it at night after already being underway was recently mitigated by switching all interiors on from the overhead and then shutting them all off. [emoji106] Agree it seems wrong how it is, but, I like not having to climb back there to kill the light and the timer once truck is parked/shut down is good enough/fine I guess for me...
