I notice on most automotive based forums there is usually picture threads for each generation of vehicle. It’s always cool to see other people’s rides. Have not seen a 3rd generation picture thread on here, so......post up your 07-17 Expedition or anything you’ve done to them! Let’s spice it up in here and keep it lively. Anyone want to start?

I got an XLT before I realized “tow package” didn’t mean “heavy duty tow package.” Thankfully, this forum gave a lot of insight on how to get the 7-prong wiring to the rear, in addition to adding aux. trans cooler. Now I finally have a vehicle that can handle my beast! I also can’t out-grow 16 year old me’s love of a bull bar. Within the next couple years I’ll probably add a lift. @Black has provided a lot of insight there.

I guess I’ll post some of my own ‘07 Expy EL Eddie Bauer too to give this thread a little nudge ;). Pretty truck there Langer and nice tow mirrors, gives it the big rig look. Haven’t done anything fun as of late with mine besides new Michelin tires.

I still prefer the profile and look of the 3rd gens. The 4th gens are growing on me. Slowly... I hope to keep my 2017 for a while.

My 08 Limited. I bought it 3 years ago, primarily for towing a camper since I was retiring shortly. My first impression was "I don't like the monocromatic look" so I changed the grill to chrome and since the headlights were cracked and cloudy I changed them out too.Grille1.jpg expedition us navy decal.jpg As bought it has some 22" rims with low profile tires that had to go! I found these wheels on Craigslist from a 20?? F-150. Gave the kid $350 for the wheels and tires and presto, I like it. Cooper Evolution tires, 275/55-20. No real "mods" other than a Flowmaster 70 muffler and Sumo Spring coil rubbers in the rear. She tows our camper with ease (<5K lbs) even up in the WV mountains.IMG_20190821_200056.jpg 3512.jpeg

Here's my 2011 EL XLT. Installed 2.5/1.5 lift and 2017 Ford Raptor wheels to it. Love it much more once I got rid of the 20s that were on it. It's our ultimate family hauler that accomodates a luggage rack that goes on the back too. When that is on, it's just over 21 ft long from rack to bull bar!

Kjhawkeye did you add the smoked Limited headlamps to your 2011 or tint the stock XLT ones? Looks nice.
