So I just bought my 19 XLT FX4 a week ago or so. Came with Ready lit and tire set up. I do tow a bunch, so finding mine was hard with the options I wanted.

I had hoped to add airbags and it appears nobody had them yet, and I hate it squatting.

Do you tow, if so what are you using or plan on to prevent the sagging in the rear.

TIA

Tony

Thanks Shane,

WDH? Weight Distribution Hitch? Sorry never heard that abbreviation.

Yep, I see very little squat with my WDH. The only other option currently out for the expedition is the sumo springs, I think a few guys have them but I am happy with my WDH and my current trailer (5000lb fully loaded trailer).

This would be my other option. I plan on replacing all the shocks and Ready Lift w Bilstein 5100 and Hellwig sway bars. My towing will vary, from 5k - 9500lbs. I just really hate the squat. My 17 F150 plat could tow toe 13k, now issues but had airbags to stop the squat. Being told not available yet though.

I put the bilstein's on mine and they made a nice difference in ride and handling. I didn't go for any lift though. Pretty tight fitting in the garage already and didn't want to go any higher. We already broke a roof rack cross bar when we forgot the bike rack was on the roof. It was just a 1/4" too tall!

A lift and big rubber isn't the optimum tow vehicle, but I'm sure you can make it work!

Lol.. you could say that.. I hate my truck blending in at shopping centers.. We all have our flavors.

I like the look of the lift as well, but its not practical for a tow vehicle. Height is your enemy with towing.

I see a lot of folks saying that they're towing 9400-9600lbs and the max on the Expy is 9200lbs - even with a WDH isn't that sketchy?

We're going to be traveling with a travel trailer once a month for ~6 months next year and I want to make any updates needed to make that process as seamless as possible with my 15 Expy. I'm looking into Sway bars for mine and replacing at least two of the tires (45% tread) with something more heavily rated.

Yes exceeding the max is sketchy. Maybe those folks are referring to the max weight of the trailer, not as it is loaded. For example, my Airstream has a max of 7,300 but it weighs 6600 fully loaded.

I dont believe anyone is towing this heavy with ANY Expy. There would be 1,200 - 1,300 pounds of tongue weight. I dont think I would believe it even if I saw it.
