I just bought a set to replace my factory lugs for the reason Mr Sticker illustrates.

They have a spline pattern for one of each wheel. They were the best reviewed set I could locate. Wish they all were just regular nuts.
Not exactly a locking lug. I really don’t care. I am not concerned with my factory wheels being stolen.

Locking lug nuts will only slow an experienced thief down by about 10-20 seconds per wheel. They will use either a 12 point or round socket (hammered on) and bingo, the nut is loose. Take good pictures so the insurance company knows what you have/had.

The good thieves (if that's a thing) have all the keys these days. If they really want them they will case the job before they come back to take them. This is why you carry insurance with a low deductible. I had a buddy with some high dollar wheels put several different lock nuts on each wheel and they still got them.

That's my thought as well. If my business was stealing wheels, I'd certainly have invested the $30 or so it costs to buy the universal key.

It's like the screen door on my rear porch. When I travel, I throw a couple deck screws in so you can't open the door. All a dirtball would need is a utility knife to get in. Keeps the neighborhood kids out though.

I had a friend that had a locking receiver hitch pin. The thieves stole his receiver hitch insert and put the pin back in properly, so they obviously had the key. lol. funny but not funny!

Where the hell do all you people live that you are getting wheels stolen all the time? I guess we have some messed up areas of our country! Glad it isn't that bad where I am! Don't get me wrong, we aren't crime free here but I have never seen a car on blocks because the wheels got ripped off. Smash and grabs are pretty common here though.

I use the locks on stock wheels. Many, many moons ago, I had the stock wheels stolen off a 1976 Super Beetle. The wheels were just stamped steel wheels with a snap on chrome cap. The hassle was taking the day off work and triying to source new wheels, tires & lugs. Nobody believed me that my car was sitting on cinder blocks when I came out in the morning.

I know right... I live in an inner city area and I am more concerned with the homeless folks going through unlocked cars and taking packages off our front porch versus missing wheels. That is why I like that my wife's Honda locks itself when you are 8 feet away from the car. I am learned to touch the door handle as I walk away, but I sort of wish there was an auto lock feature.

Must be the suburb and country kids! LOL!!! j/k
