Any folks install this protector on their EXP ? Good, Bad or Ugly ?
I certainly like the way it conforms to the Hood, but not sure about adhering it to the leading edge paint ?

Any feedback is appreciated...Thanks !

Taking delivery of my 2019 EXP Max FX4 next week...Pretty excited about the purchase !

Following...

I always had a chrome one on my F150s and I never had a rock hit the windshield in 180k miles. I like the look of the OEM one, but is it really black/smoked like it appears? It’d be nice if I could get a brushed nickel one like the rest of the trim on my Plati.

I will have to look at the OEM Ford one...I just have no experience with a bug deflector that adheres right to the hood. Don't think it can be quite as effective as one that mounts in the "normal" way. This Aeroskin looks the best for sure...

Please post some pics here once you have it installed. I’m really interested but just have a number of questions.

Thanks in advance!!!

I couldn’t be happier with mine. I love the low profile. I’ve had it about 2 months so far and no issues. I’ll upload some pictures of it later

Sorry to ask.......Is this the one that adheres to the hood? Looks great, but not sure I want it "stuck" to the hood.

Just read the thread again. Yes, it is the one that sticks to the hood. Thanks. I am welcome!

Just looking at Auto Anything. Smoked is on sale for $64.79. They also have a chrome aeroskin for those looking for one, on sale for $75.59. Do a Google search and you might find it even cheaper elsewhere.

Hope I didn't break any rules here. Apologies if I did. Delete if necessary.

I ordered mine through advanced auto parts and then used their store coupon for being a new customer. I think I ended up paying like $50 for mine.

I uses tape to adhere. It seems to resemble tape that is used for emblems. I haven’t tried to take it off or anything, but I can’t imagine it would cause damage. The plastic itself it kind of pliable as well.

Bought mine through Amazon. Paid just over 50 bucks. Put it on today. Looks very nice, better than I expected.

Helpful hints......

--Watch a video or two on youtube. The directions then make more sense.
--Use painters tape on the aeroskin and extend it onto the hood to hold the aeroskin in place, unless you have some help. I put one small piece on each end and one in the middle. Helps get it in the right spot before you pull the red tape to permanently apply it.
--When using the "surface prep" pad, it appears to scratch the paint, but doesn't. If you get it on the hood outside the aeroskin area, use a little Scratch X and it comes right off.

Our’s showed up in a hug box worh nothing to protect it. It cracked from being slammed around in the nox. We are waiting for them to send a replacement. Box shipped from Lund. I assume lund and avs are partners. Been thinking of having it painted body color and added the expedition letters on it.

Yup, mine came from Lund. Box was huge. Couple of scratches on the plastic film, only one small one on the deflector. I like the idea of painting it. My Expy is black, so all good, but excellent idea for those with white or other color trucks.

Like to take off that AVS emblem but don't want to mess anything up.
