Does anyone have the turn by turn navigation using Waze or Maps on an Andriod phone over Bluetooth (not plugged in)? I thought this was supposed to work but it doesn't seem to for me. Also, I noticed after the update I get a message about the wireless charging pad being active when I put my phone on it that I did not get previously.
Idk if this helps or not because I’m on iPhone but if I’m not streaming media from my phone when using Waze I go to the waze voice and sound settings and change it to ‘play sound via Bluetooth phone call’. This may help with your issue.

re-tag, going to try it

ETA: my windows 10 doesn't have the option to make my USB MBR? Does it matter? I can do exFAT.

Did anyone here do the APIM update with Forscan? If so which directions did you follow?

There are several out there. CyanLabs should have it or a link. I do not recommend it unless you have access to a Ford Dealership Diag System. The FORSCAN method of doing this is beta, and only works using specific hardware.

I have a 2, 32 and 32 - i only started with the 2 GB one first, haven't messed with the others yet.

2GB should have the option of being formatted as FAT or FAT32.

exFAT will work, but if you can do FAT or FAT32, that is preferred.

What about the MBR option, does it matter?

I'm feeling adventurous plus I have the issue where the screen now stays backlight but black when I leave the vehicle and it's off.

My wife's 19, I am pretty sure is on Sync 3.0, and her iPhone Waze speed is off, but I plug in my Android and it is spot on with the speedo.

It is not the fact that you are on 3.0, but it needs to be 3.0 19205 or newer. 19205 has the Waze fix in it for 3.0. Trust me!

Cool. Curious how it goes and the method you use. Been wanting to try it on my Edge, but just haven’t taken the time!

Is this needed if you did the regular sync update via USB? When I log into owner.ford it says my sync is up to date, I did the sync and map update a few weeks ago, but dunno which version it went to.

You most likely went to Sync 3.0 19205. That is the most current version of Sync 3 3.0 in production.

went smooth aside from the MBR/GPT setting. Easily fixed in a moment with rufus set to nonbootable and mbr selected.

Thanks for the great pool of knowledge.

No, Use any one of the 3 File Systems. FAT, FAT32, or ExFAT. FAT32 is the preferred.

I'm pretty sure that I did FAT32 on my USBs when I upgraded to 3.4.

Using my MacBook with dongles was too much of a hassle. My Windows 10 desktop was quicker.
