Also installed Sylvania SilverStar Ultras. Seems to be brighter and further throw than stock.

What is the color temp on those, the bluer ones throw less light. Never saw any silver bullets with any of those.

They are high output halogens, they just burn hotter than standard bulbs

That dash looks somewhat like my '07 Navigator dash but the Navi speedo cluster is horrible, they put the numbers up to 140 mph and it's all dark in there so I can't see anything hardly, it's the worst part of the truck.

I wanted a navi of that gen but I can't get past that hideous cluster...they'd almost have to give me the car to tolerate it. I feel like they were like like, "Oh, here's some crap from the 70s, let's do it!"

I can deal will the squared off look but it's so dark in there I can't read the speedo with sunglasses on in the daytime. I can see the needle and if it points to the corner of the square frame that's 40 mph and I think straight up is 60.

Finally got the Torque Converter replaced, was one tough job! It feels so nice to have it locking up. Drives like a new truck, engine braking and lower 6th gear revs returned.

Starter went out yesterday, replaced it this morning. Got the production spec one from the dealer.

I read where it is easier to remove the solenoid first to get the starter out, what do you think?

I didn’t do that but maybe it helps, I just used swivels with my 3/8 drive and a 13 mm box wrench.
