Hi guys, a couple of you asked for pics so here's a quick 2 of my ride.
Not excellent quality (phone pics) but OK for now I guess. I washed and waxed just B4 Labor Day 3 night vacation/break in PA so it looks
less than it could.

1998 EB 5.4 95% stock
currently 72000 miles

Thanks !

Those flaps were on the truck when I bought it in '08. They are a very snug fit and follow the trim contours like they were by Ford. Would they be factory ?

I need to replace the fasteners with stainless if I can, I've seen corrosion setting into the ones there now.

i have an 04...im sitting at 78k...why are you guys baby sitting your rides...

Babysitting ! ??
I'm not really babysitting the mileage. But I will admit to trying to keep a good thing in good order. Now take the previous owner. They garaged it mostly. I'm willing to bet the tires it had when I took it home were no more than it's second or third set in its life. There was a good deal of cracking and decay (perishing ?) around the rim. A month after I had it I put a new set of Goodyear Forteras on.
The truck had 2 sets of third party alarm sets on it ! The front bars were carrying 4 sets of extra lights ! They were the true babysitters !

The deciding factor that made me buy the truck was the 22 and change K on the odometer. No, I didn't believe it first time either, but checking back through it's history and the darned thing looking like new everywhere you looked, it was true. All the original Ford tags and stickers on different parts and hoses under the hood. Like new clothes never worn. Old but almost perfect. That was back in Feb '08 when I signed on the dotted.

I've put over 50K on there in about 2 years. It's the long distance camping trips that do it. Now I'm needing a secondary transmission cooler and a flush job since it began spitting fluid in the heat and hills of PA.

Oh, and the suspensions' starting to groan and squeak some.. Mostly after creek crossings to and fro from our local hunting lodge/range. Nothings for ever of course but I've come to like this truck a lot. Does everything I want so I try to keep up with the fixits, you know ! Besides, the wife yells at me if I crap it up and she needs to use it.
