Hi All,

Has anyone installed an oil filter relocation kit in their 2017 Expedition? I've been looking for one to make the oil changes cleaner, but having a hard time finding a kit for the 2017 EcoBoost.

Thanks!

I made up a dual remote system with Aeroquip lines and fittings and universal Derale dual filter base. The bracket I used is a 14 gauge steel construction brace. I posted some pics after I completed it. Look up “Dual remote oil filters” and it should come up. Total cost was about $175. New oil capacity is 8 quarts.

You just added $12 to your oil changes. This is overkill. You probably dropped you engine oil pressure. They make better filters, then those paper ones.

:favorites68:As expensive as these vehicles are, do you really think I’m worried about a few extra bucks on an oil change?? All the nay sayers out there will never convince someone like myself who has built racing engines about the benefits of MORE CLEAN OIL...
Are those -10 AN lines?

Again to all the critics, I’ve run similar setups on all my mustangs, trucks, and my first Expy. It had a FACTORY REMOTE OIL FILTER SYSTEM...whoa!!!! WTF was Ford thinking?!?!?!

That's a really nice setup and highly convenient when changing the oil, that's a great idea! I might not need a dual filter system, due to I change my oil every 3500 miles instead of the 5K I frequently haul a boat. The setup and oil filter location is simple and especially, easy to clean and drain. I get it the setup is not for everyone, but for some of us that work on our trucks it's another convenient way in replacing a filter then digging your hand and arm into a hot engine bay.

I've seen the dual oil filter systems on 4x4 trucks that go mudding, crawling and rigs for safari and desert drives. It looks overkill but considering you go through rugged terrains or haul 50K lbs. on a F450, dual filters are going to make a difference. Who knows how long my truck will last I'll probably will need a setup like this on my Expy, it already has 220K miles.

Does anybody actually think that a person who puts a system like that remote dual filter setup is concerned about saving a couple of bucks? You people are no fun at all.

That is a cool setup, I dont care what anybody says.

Do I feel like I need it though...? No. Doesn't mean that I don't want it...
