That sounds like a great dealer to work with. When I bought my 2020 in August the business mgr sat there and lied to my face and told me the third party warranty he sold me for $3200 (6 yrs 100k miles) was indeed a Ford ESP. Thats what I got for not doing my homework in advance. So I cancelled it and bought the actual Ford ESP for half the cost. Still waiting for dealer to refund my money though.

I had that exact same thing happen to me, they made me drive back to dealer(2 hours away) to cancel the third party warranty they sold me as Ford warranty.

I'm on my 3rd Expy and have had good service on all 3. I find everything offered to a customer in the dealers finance office offensive. If your reason for the purchase of a warranty is better sleep at night, you'd be better served by walking down the sleep aids isle at your local Walgreens. Warranties are especially a waste of money on a new car purchase. If your concerned about the reliability of the vehicle, choose a different vehicle. Most phasers go out from high mileage in dirty conditions. The cheapest insurance is to change oil using GOOD oil sooner than recommended. That's my opinion. Follow the $$$

I have to strongly disagree. I paid $1800 for a Ford ESP to 7 years and 140000 miles. Had brake master cylinder and vacuum assist replaced for $50 deductible. Truck back in shop at 87000 miles for cam phaser/timing chain, blower motor, and coil pack ( probably $5000) for another $50 deductible. Great value on ESP. Shop for the deal ESP. My dealer matched Flood. Mechanic at dealer is also installing my personally purchased spark plugs for free. I will buy from them again.
