Hi All,

Just recently purchased a 2020 Limited. Love the thing, especially coming from a mini van like Honda Pilot!

I do have a few questions
1. Do I need mud flaps? My rear is filthy after a rainstorm - what gives? Easy to put on? Factory brand?

2. What gas does everyone use? I've been doing 87, but the manual is vague to me on performance gain using the good stuff! I won't do a lot of towing and plan to use super when I/if I do.

3. What must have accessories did you purchase first?? I love accessories! Lol

4. Does your heated wheel get hot? Mine is not even what I would consider warm. My pilot and wife's jeep steering wheel could fry an egg which I like! Maybe mine is broken?

If your limited doesn't have factory leds, get those asap! The factory halogens are trash.

On my 2019 steering wheel I was thinking the same thing about it is barely getting warm yesterday while I was driving it also.

Mudflaps--yes I would say so even if you have running boards. I have Weathertech and was happy with ease of install, however it looks like it can accumulate debris behind the flap--which may not be a big deal. If you add taller/wider tires, it may rub--but this may be the same with any bolt on mudflap.

87 octane, top tier gas: Shell & Chevron for me. You WILL get more power with more octane (91 octane *may* be the cap) and this is a bonefide FACT (dyno proven and timer proven). Some claim an increase in mileage but I have not seen it and those that have seem to be .5 - 1 mpg and I am guessing that is a result of mixed and city. Highway steady state, no different. To me, truck is definitely more snappy with the higher octane, YMMV and you pocketbook.

I bump octane if I plan on carrying a decent load or towing.

Mods? Your call...

I'll second 91 octane while towing, I also use in our hot summers in AZ. Stick with top tier, it's more important than octane. I also installed the Weathertech rear mudflaps and have been happy with them so far. Install was a little finicky but I think it turned out well and I liked the no-drill install.

If you dont already have the rear “expedition” branded rubber/plastic cargo mat it is pretty great.

It Velcro’s directly to the carpeting and allows you to fold seats up and down individually. I tried weather tech, husky and one other before finding this, it’s a must have IMO.

For my non Max 2019 it was this part name and # below.

Genuine Ford Cargo Area Protector - For Non-EL
SKU part # LL1Z-6111600-AA

Heated steering wheel is disappointing for sure. You CAN replace the steering wheel with the Raptor steering wheel, not sure if it’s heating element is any better though. Doubtful.

The steering wheel elements are identical. Used forscan to increase the temp. Worked like a charm.

Here are the settings for the F150 if you want to play with them.

714-02-01: 0244 4444 xx - Wheel Temperature = 68ºF
714-02-01: 024C 4C4C xx - Wheel Temperature = 76ºF
714-02-01: 0254 5454 xx - Wheel Temperature = 84ºF
714-02-01: 0258 5858 xx - Wheel Temperature = 88ºF
714-02-01: 025A 5A5A xx - Wheel Temperature = 90ºF
714-02-01: 025C 5C5C xx - Wheel Temperature = 92ºF
714-02-01: 025E 5A5E xx - Wheel Temperature = 94ºF
714-02-01: 0264 6464 xx - Wheel Temperature = 100ºF
* Higher temperatures may negatively affect the lifespan of your steering wheels heating element.

i just bought a 2020 Expedition Max XLT. I am pretty sure I have regular halogen headlights. I noticed my gfs wrangler rubi with LEDs has much better headlights. Can I just replace the bulbs or do I need to do the whole fixture? Any recommended bulbs?
