Thats like $45 for a 5 quart jug even when you buy 3. I buy Mobil one for a LOT less than that.

I recall Ford oil is just Ford labeled Valvoline oil.
Word of caution on Mobile 1 around 2009 Mobile 1 Euro spec oil was basically dropped from US supply. High performance shops at that point quit using it. The typical Mobile 1 stuff found at super stores in the US is a cheap high volatility blend and many vehicle owners actually experienced a big jump in oil consumption using the cheaper Mobile 1 stuff. I had two cars VW 1.8T and a Toyota 4.7, go from near zero oil useage to 3+ quarts in 4000 miles simply due to the switch from the higher euro standard Mobile 1 to the cheap US stuff they switched to. I simply switched to a Chevron oil and the excessive oil use dropped to near zero in both vehicles. My Mercedes that has 7 “Mobile 1 only oil” factory stickers does not get Mobile 1 given the high end shop it gets serviced at cannot get Euro spec Mobile 1 and has actually seen counterfeit Euro Spec Mobile 1 sold in the US.
For my Fords I use either Valvoline or Chevron oils. The Merc last time was a redline oil the performance shop was using on their high performance cars.

I'm not sure what you mean. The Rotella 5w30 oil was $15 for 5 quart jug and it has been sold out. Where do you buy Mobil 1 for $15 a jug?

The amazon link popped that price up when I opened it..... I'm not an amazon guy so maybe I looked wrong but I'm sure that's what it said when I clicked it....

1 qt pack of 6: $45.22. A bit pricey, but if you like the Shell, then go for it.

Edit: Valvoline seems a bit cheaper on Amazon, and Mobil 1 about the same. I usually get it at walmart.

Having said all that, you can blow the difference in a vending machine on snacks.

it probably was more expensive when you looked. Some sellers price items higher hoping someone will buy it whe be n the lower priced ones go out of stock. When he initially posted, it was $15 for a 5 qt jug.

Shell released that oil just as I purchased my 18 Expedition. Given that I use the T6 in my F350 I’ve used this in my Expy. Had some good comments on the Bob the Oil Guy site too.

I’ve paid ~21 for 5qt on Amazon and WalMart. Neither looks to stock it directly when I just looked. Hope it’s a temp supply issue and that it’s not discontinued for some reason.
