spark plug #3 and the coil pack went out!!!!

so, i was driving last night and i heard a very loud popping noise.. i already knew what it was. this happen to me about a yr ago but it was an easy fix. the spark plug #3 came out.. the threads didn't look bad but idk.. when i tried installing the new plug its not wanting to screw on... whats the best way to see if the threads got stripped? any help would help guys thanks..

If the new plug will not insert as normal then you can assume that the threads are stripped. If you had heard an increasing noise then it is possible that the plug backed out. The sudden loud popping leads me to believe that the plug was ejected with force causing thread damage. Any good shop should be able to repair this for you.
