Just got an email from Ford, more time than expected, we know that already.
Would be nice if Ford would give us a estimated ETA. Ordered the new BMW I4 M50 for my wife 6 months ago, BMW now says it will be another 6 months, so we got her something else and cancelled the order. BMW being honest, FORD be FORD and full of shit.

HERE’S THE LATEST ON YOUR VEHICLE

Christopher,
Thanks again for placing your 2022 Expedition Limited order. We’re working hard to assemble your vehicle, but it’s going to take more time than expected to finish it.
We want to make sure it’s assembled right, so we will be performing quality checks, inspections and tests before it’s delivered to you.
We know there’s a lot of anticipation when it comes to getting into a new vehicle, so we’ll make sure to keep you updated. Once your vehicle is assembled, you’ll be hearing from us again with an estimated date for delivery to your dealer.

I got the same email. For my 10/24 ordered Limited Max 304 Stealth. But I was bumped all the way from 2/7 production to the week of 3/28.....and I see the modules associated with my VIN and an in-production date of 3/29. So I'm hoping this is a really awkward way they are trying to say they are missing the wiper motors for the more recent builds....and its not a dire as it sounds.

Same Email, same story from Ford. I have a 2 week vacation planned at the end of June beginning of July to the mountains, I guess I will just be driving my current Expedition and putting more miles on it, just for my dealer to eventually give me less money for it on trade in because it has more mileage. This all would make a great book or movie one day.

I'm waiting for my 22 Limited (ordered November 4th). Talked to my dealer about that same email - he said he has many vehicles in same status - they are all waiting for chips. He has 5 vehicles to sell right now, but none are F-150's or Expeditions, all thanks to no chips. He couldn't even venture a guess as to when it will complete/ship.

Come on, that would be a terrible movie. No action at all!

1st world problems. We’re all whining about not getting our $70, 80 100k + vehicles. Booo hooo. I’ve gotta catch myself

now that Ive put things in perspective

… I should look to order another Vehicle. I might flip a couple. Find a crybaby who just can’t stomach waiting 6 months and flip it.

You need to have waited 5 months or more before you become eligible for emails explaining delays
Wish someone had told me I could have ordered in October. I asked the dealer to LMK when I could, and they never called. My first time doing this with Ford, so I'm still learning how all this goes. I wouldn't be [as] worried about it, but my current family vehicle isn't doing well.

Just got a shipped email with estimated delivery last week of April. Is this real? Where’s Ashton Kutcher…I’m getting punked!

4/7 get notification from FMC . Taking longer than expected
4/8 dealer calls and says we have the title. Factory says it’s waiting materials and in the meantime the truck is in storage. Gonna be a while
4/9 (at 3:18am) vehicle built. Delivery 4/21-4/27
i pull up tracker today and it’s shipped

I will post this on production thread. I’m pessimistically optimistic

LOL. Nah, I ordered February 18 and got the same email. Actually, I got it twice, 4 minutes apart. A dealer placed an order without my permission or consent on February 11. He was supposed to just be pricing it for me. He did, and he's almost $2500 higher than the dealer I did order from on the 18th. Anyone know if I can contact Ford and cancel the first? Dealer didn't seem to care when I told him I was going with someone else. He'll just sell it on the lot and knows it will sell.

Me, too. Back in October all of the dealers around me were trying to push '21's. I asked sometime in the fall and was specifically told I couldn't yet but to check back "in a couple months." I'm still learning, also, and am in a somewhat similar situation. Our current vehicle (Toyota Highlander) is about to break 200k miles. Thankfully it still seems solid and reliable for us, as Toyota's reputation generally supports.

What did you order?
2022 Infinite blue max limited 4x4 302A, CCD, RES. I know there were availability issues with RES but there was some information from Ford Authority late March stating this should be available

Gotcha, I ordered 11/5 and wanted RES, but I took it off so I could get it sooner. Atleast I thought I would.

Got another email today. Well, emails again. The one I actually ordered on 2/18 is scheduled for production the week of 6/20.

The other one, discussed above, placed without my permission or consent on 2/11 is also scheduled for production the week of 6/20. It irks me that it might slow mine, or one of yours, down even by one vehicle. Just doesn't seem right and I wish I knew how to cancel it or something.
