Does it say in the manual that 91+ is needed for the SPP? I haven't looked.I only use 93 in my stealth performance. I paid for 440 hp so I want to be able to use it.
trueI try my best to use a top tier rated fuel station. https://www.toptiergas.com/fuel-stations/ Premium is what I use since the truck seems to run and shift much better in my opinion.
Ahh, yes, Click and Clack. Funny, smart guys. I just don't know anymore. With all these turbo and supercharged engines, more and more manufacturers are requiring premium. Do they really know something (Tom's been gone for almost 10 years, the shows been off air for almost 12 years), or has time pasted click and clack and technology has changed and premium is required?Click and Clack, the Tappet Brothers
Interesting and kind of what I expected. I'll continue to do what I'm doing, which is run the truck on 87 when driving locally and on 93 when towing and / or taking long trips.Try this (I ain't wasting money on 93 octane.)

Is Premium Gas Worth It? We Test High Octane on 4 Popular Vehicles
We tested higher octane fuel than manufacturers require on the Honda CR-V, BMW M5, Ford F-150, and Dodge Charger to see if it impacted acceleration or MPG.www.caranddriver.com

SameHave been using Costco 93 octane on all my Ecoboost trucks for years. More power, better fuel mileage and they are Top Tier rated.
