Looking over threads for this issue, I am unable to locate a specific similar instance. Once in a while and only when the AC is running, you will hear a gurgling sound from under the drivers side dash. It is not a cam phaser or timing chain noise; as I had had that issue and it is fixed. Two days ago heard it again while on the interstate and adaptive cruise active. Vehicle was running a steady speed, pretty hot outside and the gurgling sound came and went twice like the thermostat was calling for more cold air. It is more annoying than troublesome. Would just like to get ahead of this before some type of failure. any suggestions ate welcome. What makes this more annoying it is intermittent. No codes have set.

Often a gurgling sound from under the dash can indicate low engine coolant, or air in the coolant system due to a small leak.

I know you said the noise was on the driver (left) side of the dash.

Have you checked the coolant Degas bottle for the level when the engine is cold and hot?

You may want to post the year, make and model of your vehicle, as someone may have specific information for a certain model year.
