2025 Expedition details

Lance, I agree with everything you said. Sad. We like everything about our 2023 Platinum except the synch 4 glitches and difficulty operating, but its not a deal killer.

Virtually zero chance I would buy another Expedition now. Either a Suburban or Wagoneer unless we switch to a pickup, which I would rather not. We pull a travel trailer so towing is a factor for us.

It sounds like you have a real nice 2023 Platinum (does yours have CCD?) and it's also good that you bought one before Ford forced us into all this new, unwanted, complicated & really unnecessary stuff on the 2025's. Our new 2024 Limited MAX is only one week new to us, (and we just love it) so we are also learning the ropes on all the digital and electronic things right now. I am pretty certain that your 2023 and our 2024 are very similar with the exception that the Platinum has the 15" screen (all digital) while our Limited has the 12" screen with the manual buttons and knobs for the Radio, A/C controls & heated seat controls, below this 12" screen. (Note: Our daughter had bought a new 2024 Expedition Limited in June of 2024, and we liked her dash configuration)

So, that makes me curious what are the "synch 4 glitches and difficulty operating", that you mentioned? Any help or knowledge on this would be much appreciated because we are old enough that all this electronic controls stuff is not second nature to us so we must get up to speed here and learn all of this new stuff now. Did it take you a lot of time to learn and understand how everything works?

11900 Westport Road is the rail loading yard at Kentucky Truck Plant. Note that it's marked unshippable.

I really doubt that dealers will have 2025s before April.

I work at a canadian ford dealer and have a personal expedition on order as well have some friends with expeditions on order. They have all been built but are all on hold flagged non shippable.
I have a 2023 expedition that I just took on a spring break trip to florida that I was hoping to do in my 2025 so I have been watching the status of the units closely. as soon as I see my units move to shippable I will update here.

Turns out the dealership isn't getting it in, and it was just a scam to get me to put down a non-refundable deposit. Two people at the dealership told me it had left the factory and was in transit, but that was clearly a lie.

Just wanted to post an update to my original reply in case someone saw my reply and had hope that they were shipping out.
I gave them more trust than I should have/normally would because they came highly recommended from a distributor of mine that I trust.

That isnt true. It’s not a scam. It’s kinda crappy business not to refund if you are backing out, but not a scam. You took the place of another person that wanted that spot. I can see their reasoning. Demand will exceed production so this is not new. They most certainly will get and sell new expeditions and you could have one….your just going to wait longer since production is delayed. I’m betting they don’t know any more than they are telling you. You did understand that the deposit was to hold your place in line for either your order or a stock expy, and it was not refundable, didn’t you? Local Lexus dealer wants me to do the same for a GX550 that might take 9-12 months. And I can’t even “order” one. I just have to tell them what I want and hope one gets built close to that and it’s my turn to say yay or nay
