Indeed. An extended wheelbase for the Sequoia would be a winner but I don’t think they sell enough of them to offer two different platforms. Also the hybrid powertrain kills the 3rd row floor. You sit back there with your knees way up. That’s a deal breaker for me as our 3rd row is constantly occupied by my teenagers.
Toyota has their “ideal” wheel base theory you will notice all their “passenger” vehicles mid size and up run very similar wheel base length. That will never change.

I went from a 07 Sequoia and Subaru yes I had two cars to the Expedition STD and sold both the Sequoia and Subaru. The ONLY place the 07 Sequoia was better was tight sierra off road trails and it was still too big.

The expedition has crushed that old Sequoia 10ways to Sunday in everything thing else. A close friend held out for the new Sequoia to replace his 2010. They hate the new one. The weird layout in the back vs the old one has been a huge negative. In addition its been in the shop so many times they kept their 2011 Sequoia and are struggling with what to do. I keep telling them 27yrs Toyota trucks on my end. My 2019 Expedition bought new nothing will get me back to Toyota now especially the Toyota dealer gouging.

The Expedition is only 2-3mpg off the Subaru averages, it ran 50k on rear pads and probably 100k fronts based on my wear rate. My Sequoia was 35k pads were done, Landcruiser was 8000-12,000 lol.

I even tow a 8700lb boat with the expedition. Toyota hell no no way.

There are reasons for load E but 2x a yr heavy tows isn’t worth heavily compromising passenger ride quality and road performance. Load E’s are lousy for anything but heavy loads.

True. I was towing more than 2x yearly when I put mine on. But haven't been towing heavy for the past few years since I'm down to one softball player. The ride quality on E was acceptable with tire pressure in the low 40s. I just put XL Defenders on. The Coopers were good while they lasted. The other benefit of D and E tires is puncture resistance, which is highly desirable when towing. But the D tires weigh the same as E so I just went back down to XL.

Anyone who ordered get detail on whether the device holder headrest will be swapped out for early buyers (website says available summer 2025). I am ready to order a glacier grey max w/ SPP package, dealer hasn't gotten back to me with an answer on this issue (I know it is a minor thing but I figure if I want to swap out later they will charge me $1000 for headrests!)

My dealer said it will be a factory installed item only. There will not be an option to upgrade or change out to a device holder headrest after it is built.

Thanks that is helpful, does your dealer know if it will be included on early builds, and is it an option or standard on platinum (or higher trims)? Knowing I won't be able to upgrade after the fact may push me to wait or find an alternative solution (looks like this would work fine, hopefully they added adjustable tilt features to the headrests - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0751FQ4C...X?tag=expeditionforum-20&tag=usdeshoppin04-20)

Haven’t seen this reported anywhere, but according to my dealer, production has started on the ‘25s. See the area highlighted in orange. This was on the 3rd.

It's been reported elsewhere that Kentucky Truck Plant was scheduled to start building 2025 Expeditions today.

They are definitely working on them now. That black spp is looking really mean, that's what I'm leading towards if I jump.

Yea theres 2 expys, a black and star white one. It wouldn't let me attach the full photo so I tried to zoom in to just the expys and attached a screenshot. The provider of the photo said the ones where the expys are are waiting to be shipped. The photos also have the navs prepped to be tested by journalists. The new navigator to me is one of the most gorgeous suvs out right now. I think in terms of design, Lincoln cooked. Just wished they listened to their base for feature additions.

That's crazy. I ordered mine on 11/5 (Platinum /w Ultimate) and it's in production. Got a VIN and build date on 12/5. What color?

My Platinum Ultimate was built on 2/4. It is being held up in inspection with no dealer ETA yet. Dealer expects that to change any day.

It’s a star white metallic tricoat with salt crystal gray interior It was in preview last week but no dice Still says being held up for the 24 inch wheels. After reading all of the post here about build dates it is really trying my patience. But what can i do?
