Had it done a couple weeks ago. Did notice that the gear numbers were missing but got them back pressing the +/- buttons.

Transmission is already scheduled for its 3rd go-around next month so I can’t comment on shifting - it’s been awful for months.

I did notice that my driveway is on a 7 degree slope and now it automatically engages the parking brake when I go into park. Nice convenient touch.

My shifting was lazy until today. It’s been 8 days since it was done. Truck was really weak feeling as it didn’t know anymore an eight inch extra push of the pedal means I want two gears dropped. Suddenly it snapped back to that today and I was zooming by the tweakers and facebookers like normal.

I had to go into the vehicle menu and kill the stupid adaptive cruise bs. Seems like it used to give an option when you engaged cruise before and doesn’t now. It’s off now, good riddance.

It's funny how we all have different preferences. I absolutely love adaptive cruise control and set it locally and on the highway. It keeps me from constantly hitting the brake and having to resume, when the vehicle in front of me decides to look at their phone or just plain slow down for no reason. I just set it; let it slow down when needed and accelerate back up. I won't own a vehicle that doesn't have it, since my first experience of having it.

I can’t stand how it slows me down and lets traffic I passed come back and get in the way. Setting the gap as close as allows doesnt solve that problem. I simply adjust my driving as needed to maintain speed as best possible. I was reminded how stupid it is this past week as it was turned back on after the recall.

In close quarters city traffic, it allows too much gap and that lets other people make dangerous moves. I’m not sure if it will engage below a certain speed, don’t remember when I tired it when I first got this truck. I read some cars don’t allow it to go down to a creep and some do. Easier to not fool with it as I move around traffic.

This is me.

So Dice, you use the standard CC in close quarters city traffic and are constantly adjusting the set speed of the CC as the speed of traffic increases and decreases? Seems like a lot of work, I'd just cancel and go manual till I can engage the CC again.

Also curious, which city?

There's no adjusting with adaptive cruise control. You set it and go, unless you get to another road with a higher speed limit.

So I'm reading that this reprogram resets a lot of settings back to factory. Can anyone advise which screens I need to take pictures of before I get the work done so that I can remember to set them back? Thank you in advance!

I didn't see anything set back to factory at all.

I've been holding off on this PCM reprogram because of this concern. @Rednecked did reflashing your tune just override the PCM reprogram and render this recall useless?
You have to contact your tuner and he’ll send you a new file. of course you’re gonna have to pay for it.
