Have an order that is scheduled to get built in August. Listening to Tim Bartz live stream last night he mentioned that the 26 order banks should open in August. Is there any reason i should wait and order that instead of taking the 25? I know the device holders will be in the 26 but was hoping they would retrofit to the 25 and make as an accessory.

Our family is in the same predicament. The rumour is the 26 model will have BlueCruise 1.5 which is why we want to wait.

i should also add to the question. if order banks truly open in August what are the odds of getting a vehicle in the Oct/Nov timeframe?

First post (sorry, didn't do an introduction yet), but I just placed a '25 order on Monday actually hoping to catch the end of the '25 order bank. My thought process was by the time it gets here in fall/winter, incentives on '25s will be better to make way for the '26s. I couldn't find anything that justified the probable extra cost of the '26.

My father actually bought a used Tesla for commute to work since Google provides EVs free charging, as a temporary solution, despite my mom and I trying to talk him out of it.
You know the 2026 Expedition will have device holders?
Ford said those would be available in the 2025 model year. They even released a TV commercial for the 2025s showing the device holders...but with small print at the bottom of the image saying they won't actually be available on 2025s.
At this point, I wouldn't say that these device holders actually exist until I see them. If you are basing a buying decision on availability of the device holders, I'd take anything you hear from Ford or your dealer with a grain of salt.
If they did both of those i would for sure hold off and not receive the order i have and re order a 26.

I do not know. When does Ford usually release order guides? If the order bnaks open up in a few weeks wouldnt these be available soon?
No Info yet. Also no info on when order banks will open, but 25s didnt open till Oct. The 1.4 is good already, will auto lane changes be that much of a difference maker. I personally hated it when I had a Caddy rental with the supercruise.
i just asked my dealer if they could paint the tailgate to color match and they told me they could not due to the different material of the tailgate and that the paint would fail. Some body shops appear to do it but the dealer if saying no. Why is it not an option to get the tailgate to be painted the same color. I ordered a white and now regretting it.

Device holder seems to be a add-on you can get. I saw a King Ranch window sticker at my local dealer that mentioned it was on hold. My Platinum with Driver's Package doesn't have it, so not sure where it is included or not
Interesting so they have started shipping the device holders now. I ordered a plat with drivers package and it wasn't an option yet.
I signed an order sheet and put a $500 deposit down. Im okay losing the $500 if it makes sense to wait.

Still no update (as far as I can tell) regarding what BC version will be shipped with the 2026's...BUT...they have updated the BC page and the 2026 Explorer is shipping with 1.5. The 2026 Expi is still not listed, so I still have hope.
