2015 Expedition with 3.5 ecoboost. The car is showing a p0299 code. Dealer says it needs these repairs.
Replace turbo with all connecting lines and hardware $2,723.16.
Replace fuel pump assembly $1,110.18
Also not related to the engine code replace ac evaporator $2,430.86.
There are other charges but these are the main ones coming to total of over $9k.
I felt uneasy with these charges but became angry when the cost of an oil and filter change
is $341.16.
Other work needed to be done is vacuum pump $87.25, replace valve cover gaskets $1,320.29 along with
coolant flush flush and change and charge ac system.
Does all this seem extreme? Should I only do what is necessary on a car I'm wanting to sell? Thanks
