Greetings!

I just bought my 2000 Expedition yesterday, and this stereo was in it:

I'm trying to find a manual for it but since there are absolutely no markings as to brand, I'm at a loss. Anyone recognize this? The salesman at the dealer claimed it was a factory option, but I can't find anywhere that a DVD player was an option for these. It has a disk changer in the console as well as a cord in the glove box that you can connect an iPod to.

I need the manual to figure out how to pair it to my iPhone for hands free. I don't know what the code is. 0000 didn't work, which is usually the default,

i would advise to go to your cell phone bluetooth setup and have it search or listen for signal...and if your truck/radio is on it should pick up the signal...thats how i did mine and my wife's in both of our vehicles with our previous/current BB phones...

Does the dealor you bought your Expy from know anything about the stereo? or if it was a private seller call him back and ask him if he has the manual for it and if not then ask what brand the stereo is and go from there, all elts fells spend hours playing with the stereo untill you know every feature in it and what it does.

Pull it out of the dash and check the back/top. even if there is no manufacturer sticker (you get that with super cheap radios) there is usually a set of numbers you can Google on there model, production code Ive had to do that before to track down a wiring harness

try these Bluetooth codes:
1234
1111
2222
3333
4444

Ive came across allot of Bluetooth crap that used those codes-mostly off brand junk, not that im picking on you radio. I had some chinq-shang-jing (or some crap like that) radio in my grandprix, and it lasted like 4 years, and was used when i got it, still worked when I sold the car

Just out of curisoty does the changer work? If not kill it, and you have a ridiculous amount of space in there (you could hide a dead body if needed)

Thats for sure not a ford stereo.
I agree, nothing like that was made for the Expys in those years with any kind of GPS mode or USB input on it.
With those options I would guess it's no more than a few years old. I think the only option is to pull it and look for a manufacturer on the case.

I finally did get a manual from the Ford dealer I bought it from. I still don't know much about it, but apparently the 0000 code I thought is indeed the one, so I need to review the pairing procedures.

Yeah I'm not thrilled with this stereo after the initial wow wore off, the iPod controls are craptatsic :) I'll have to visit my favorite auto electronics shop and look at options later on. First I need to replace the front rotors, breaks, get some minor rust looked at, etc.

Check out a pioneer avh-p4300 if you really want a new radio, I really like mine, the ipod controls are awesome. only thing you may not like is you need to buy a separate blue tooth module, but you can get one off ebay fairly cheap

and you should do what i do and shop online, audio shops mark up their crap waaay to much. i refuse to pay 3X the price for something. plus the audio shops by me are owned by *****

Thanks for the tip, I'll check it out. The shop I go to has some good guys working there, and I've price checked him before and he's very competitive with online prices.

I've heard good things about Pioneer. I personally loved my Kenwood. Nav, dvd, and back up camera.

Are there any aftermarket units that work with the integrated CD changer in the console, or is that just dead weight now?
