Yeah I think I'm going to have to do that. I pulled off the severe duty clutch after 2 weeks. It sure helped... But man did it rob power and fuel economy- Rob Adams

Yeah, the efan would be the ultimate solution, but right now im trying not to spend another 5-700 on the truck if I can help it. The fan clutch removal/replacement really doesn't take that long (20-30 mins) so I'm thinking maybe let the gas mileage suffer in the summer but get better cooling and...- Rob Adams

05 3v running rich
The fact that I nearly get gassed out with raw/rich fumes from the tail pipe when the windows on the passenger side are down is the big give away. Plus gas mileage SUCKS. I have absolutely not pulled the plugs due to the fact I'm not willing to have to go through the headache of extracting...- Rob Adams

I'm trying to track down a strange issue with my expy. It runs RICH. However, there are no codes at all being produced. AC Testing...back AC ON?
Was hoping I could get some clarification on this. I have the rear AC on my 05 expedition and when I'm testing the high/low side with the AC on max/full, should the rear be on full as well? Oil fill pipe removal
Hey man I really appreciate the offer! That's for a different style valve cover than mine unfortunately. I WISH mine had that style with just the twist on/off fill spout. Mine appear to be fused/glued to the covers with no way to take them off.- Rob Adams

Oil fill pipe removal
I was able to procure a 2nd right side valve cover for free, however it appears this one was for something that had the threaded part potentially elsewhere (hose attached or something). Is there an adapter I can get for it to put a threaded top/cap?- Rob Adams

I should also mention that the motor coming out is a Romeo not a Windsor, so the valve covers are not interchangeable sadly. Otherwise I'd use use my old ones. Interestingly enough the ones in the car also have this style of fill pipe and it seems to be glued in as well??- Rob Adams

Help! I bought a 4.6L 2v Windsor motor to do a swap and the guy I bought the motor from when he pulled the motor broke this flange. I thought it was going to be cosmetic but the cap doesn't seal. Airbag light on 2008 Expedition XLT
FINAL UPDATE Clockspring was indeed the source of the airbag light. So it was a cascading failure. First the light, then the horn and the cruise control. Replaced it tonight and all the light went off. Cruise control and horn work. Thank you everybody for your input! This forum is awesome!- Rob Adams

Airbag light on 2008 Expedition XLT
Yeah, I sure hope this makes the light go off...it would make sense. However if it doesn't I guess I have 2 paths forward...take it to Ford and have them do the 139 dollar diagnostic/pinpoint test for me...or try and source an airbag to test in place of the current one.
