hi all...just got truck. looking to put the lt285 70 17 from my 97 expedition onto the 03.

Should fit no problem... the only difference is the factory tires are 265/70/17, so they are 20MM wider(your new ones from your 97) which is less than an inch, and then 14MM taller per side of the tire, so that would be 28MM, which is just more than an inch(25.4MM per inch), and still a 17" wheel. Id say it isnt an issue.

I had AT in that size and they fit, but there was some rubbing while turning.

I'm assuming it's a four wheel drive? You didn't say in your op. If you already own the wheels give it a whirl. You got nothing to lose, but some of your time! Check clearance between tire and frame at full lock. And obviously outside of tire to fender, and quarter panel.

Has anyone gone to 295/70 or 305/70 on stock suspension?

I don't not recommend anything bigger the 33in and wider then 10 depending on your offset of the wheel. I'm running on 35" with a leveling kit and the rub on hard bumps and sharp turns beside that for all-terrain tires they do good.

Rims are 20" x 10" unknown offset, tires are Nitto's Grablers. Did any even trade it had some 20s ×14s wheels on 33 mudders but I didn't like them. Found out it busted one of the sway bar links. Just got new Detroit Axels links and just need to install them. Will post pics of it in the future. Here is a far pic of the 33s tires and wide wheels. Don't mind my guard.

The tires added to the lift. I have to pick up my leg more to get in and I'm 6'3"
