I have a Warn 9.5 ti mounted behind the front bumper with a hidden mount. It was pretty easy to do and is well worth the money

Got any pics?
Is it behind the factory bumper or a custom one?
The road armor is nice stuff but at 2k for the bumper then another thousand for the winch its getting pricey.

You really want to haul that weight around full time?

Throw a Curt receiver on the front (which uses that hole) and put a winch on a cradle. This way you can use the winch on the front OR the back when you go out, and leave that heavy chunk in the garage when you don't need it.

Bah, as far as I am concerned the extra 100 or 120 lbs of a winch is nothing compared to the 3 tonnes of truck that is already there.

Besides, if it's on a removable mount and you carry it around in the back of the truck, chances are good that it'll be home in the garage when you really need it...

I know this article is kinda old but I need help with the wiring for my winch. I have a 2013 expedition, I used the RC hidden mount for an f150. Got it all on there and the winch mounted, but the positive cable that goes with it has the fuse on the end that has to connect directly to the battery, problem is the fuse it to big to close the hood when sitting on the battery. Is a fuse for a winch something you can change if it has the same amp rating or is there another way to do this that anyone knows?
