on my 9900 mile Mexican caravan, about mid way, I jacknifed backing up and busted a taillight on my 2019 Expedition Limited Stealth... We found a roll of red taillight repair tape in a local auto store, and I taped up the light til I got home... I ordered a replacement Ford tail light, it got here a few days ago. Yesterday I installed it...

it was easier than I thought.

I had to replace a tail light on my 2002 SuperDuty F250 long bed a few years ago for the same reason. That one cost like $89. This one was close to $1000 with shipping, or $1400 at a Ford Dealer.

Did the interior come out easy? I need to do my pass side, I found a local dealer that will take just under a grand for a new one. Have wondered if it will come apart and then go back in place without being distorted.

no interior stuff at all. I removed the rear hatch 'door jamb' while I was exploring, but I don't think I even needed to do that. What I *did* need to remove was the plastic/rubber strip between the tail light and the rear hatch seal, gently pry it off from either end, its held in place with two press-fit pin things... under it there's 2 or 3 bolts, remove those, and pull the tail light straight backwards and boom, it comes off. I had to unplug the cable, and release a cable tiedown that was pressed into a tab on the back of the light, reassembly is the reverse.
