Hey all...
Driving on highway today...Had check engine light come followed by my temp warning light...then the gauge dropped to C, then back to normal, then back to C...
I checked SCTx4 and it had codes p0119 and p1289.
Both have to do with coolant system. I wonder if I have a bad temp...
Sounds like a bad coil pack. Mine did the same thing when i bought it. I thought it was everything from transmission going bad to throttle position sensor.
When I would back off the throttle it would run ok. Usually happened on on-ramps.

I literally logged in this morning to ask this very question.
I have a 2007 Limited with the fixed running boards...and I recently purchased a set of 2010 F150 running boards (pictured)
from a local guy getting rid of his.
The distance between the mounts looks the same, the only...
That's interesting. From what i'm told...the hydraulic system offers more feedback and steering feel. I've driven the new 2020's and I think I prefer my 07's steering rack more. The EPAS feels artificial to me.
My wife's 2009 Ford Flex has gone thru 4 compressors now. I finally got a decent explanation from a friend that's a Porsche mechanic...of all things.
He put an OEM in for me the last two times...and he said that apparently if moisture gets in the system...it's difficult to get all of the...
Thanks for the lead!
Oddly enough...I think I met the owner of that business on a trail ride one day (I’m also a cyclist). I’ll reach out to them.
I’m curious about the raptor rims though. If you could get a picture I might be interested.

Looking more closely at the wheel...it appears there is a protective layer of chromed plastic around the edge of the wheel. That’s the part that peeled back and then the actual aluminum was scraped too. At first glance I thought the aluminum edge separated...but that’s not the case.
This is...
I stopped by the tire shop earlier and the guy said if it’s not leaking to not worry about it. I was leaning towards letting it go...so if he felt fine about it then I’ll prob just ride it as is for now.
I’m wondering if the impact was enuf to bend the wheel tho? I imagine these 20”s can...
I swung wide to avoid a parked car and instead hit the concrete sewer drain part of the curb. I’ve seen this same concrete drain instantly deflate a tire when another neighbor scraped it. I spose it could’ve been worse. As hard as I hit it...if i was driving a car...there would be a lot more...
Came around a corner too hot today and hit a curb.
Tire prob is toast? Only 4 mo old, and i never buy warranties cause I’ve never needed one.
I’ll prob need to find a rim and check alignment too.

Over the last few days...my HVAC fan has intermittently just shut off. Like it went from blowing to like i shut it off. The a/c seems to still be working...it’s just not blowing air. When I shut the vehicle off for a few min...it comes back on like normal.
I recently used the rear a/c when we...
UPDATE: Prior to ordering new assemblies, i've been researching best options for new bulbs too. I've never been impressed with the light output of the stock H13's.
After some trial and error, I installed these (link below) LED's last week. I'm thoroughly impressed. They are the right size...
Question: With those particular aftermarket headlights...how’s the light output compared to stock? I’m considering purchasing them as well. However I already find the stock units weak so i don’t want to lose more light output.

Hey y'all...
I've searched thru all of the past forum threads...but didn't find a good answer.
I've refinished the headlights on my 2007 twice now...but they're still oxidizing and fairly pitted. I have looked at aftermarket replacements:
1. Generic OEM replacements (amazon, ebay, etc) Are...
It’s pretty common on the tailgate. I rarely see an expedition without the paint coming off in that spot...mine included.
I had a Taurus X few years back (which became the Explorer) and my wife has a Flex...and both of those had/have the paint peeling issues on hood or tailgate.
Not sure...
That sounds like your a/c compressor kicking in.
Turn off your HVAC system tomorrow morning before starting it and it prob won’t make that noise.
Mine has been making same noise lately and I recently had ford replace the compressor which ticks me off. I took it to them and told them to...
That sounds like the cam phasers to me. Some owners say it gets bad enough it starts sounding like a diesel.
I know on the 5.4’s they will get loud on the passenger side first...since that’s the side that’s often starved for oil before the drivers side. Not sure if that is the same for the...
Great job man. So no Chevy Suburban on the horizon? [emoji12] That was the only post that made me cringe! Haha

It’s your tires.
There’s a ‘hack’ i learned if you have had the same shop do the rebalancing and it still vibrates. Trust me...I learned this after a very frustrating process. When I asked them to do this trick...it’s now smooth as glass.
Have them balance the tire and zero it out...
