    I had that issue. .. I kept tighten until that basted broke. .. don't do that.... I think you will be ok. I have 2 not being held on by anything. At least you have a screw in yours.

    As far as the airbag goes do you hear any kind of noise coming from the steering column. Kinda like it needs lubed? May be a clock spring for the light

    Mine did the same thing, every couple weeks I usually throw a socket and wrench in there just to make sure it's still tight... Should be fine, u will just have to keep an eye on it

    Yep! I called around this morning to the only ford parts dept open, one in stock... Had to drive over an hour to get it.. But at least I got lunch out of it... Will be doing the install in a few... I really hope this works and fixes that damn airbag light!

    Ok, I ordered the part online, 2 days shipping.... 100 bucks... I take the steering column apart... About 15 minutes, to include removing the airbag....with no issues.. The part that was sent to me was no where close to the part in the truck... So I called around to all the parts stores...

    Please forgive my ignorance... But what do you mean brass contacts? I assumed that the clock spring was a complete unit, take a couple screws out and replace.. Put back together and be done... What and where are these brass contacts?
