    Sorry to say I am no longer the proud owner of my 97 5.4L Expy. My wife made me sell it, as we too many cars in the driveway. This is the first time in 15 years it hasn't been in the driveway. I miss it already.

    Strange reason for SES light

    The SES light went on yet again on my 97 expedition. When I took it to the mechanic, they told me the SES may be going off due to the air suspension having been converted to shocks. I've never heard of such. Has anyone else?

    Would definitely suggest changing the endlinks. I went ahead and changed mine while i was down there and it's pretty easy.

    You may also consider one of the conversion kits that will eliminate the air suspension. I fought my air suspension issues for years until I put in the Monroe conversion kit.

    Actually, that my be additional support for my theory. If you had air suspension and this was not connected, the air suspension would probably not work. With shocks, I think this is a useless connection.
