A/C EVAPORATOR
Good afternoon, I have a 2005 Expy that I'm possibly going to replace the evaporator. How difficult is this job? I've searched online and YouTube with little success. Anyone with knowledge on this, please feel free to respond! Thanks in advance.- red-russian1

aftermarket key fob
I ordered the $10 pair off of Amazon for our 2005 Expy Eddie Bauer but they aren't working right. The remote start doesn't work with them and they also set off the alarm when unlocking the doors. Sent from my LM-G710VM using Tapatalk- red-russian1

2005 remote start
On our '05, we have to unlock, lock and then long press the blue start button. Very finicky too cuz it sets off the alarm half the time. Sent from my LM-G710VM using Tapatalk- red-russian1

Well, now I know why it was running rough...
I think the one on the right had maybe somewhere around 2 years and about 30k miles on them. I reordered the same exact plug this last time (from Amazon [emoji1751]) but received a different plug (one letter off and the new ones appear to be platinums??). We had exactly the same thing happen with our '05. I changed to 10w-30 and replaced both CVT solenoids and it got better but it's still there. Some of our knock/tick is the RH exhaust manifold though and I just haven't replaced it yet. Ours has been running the same way for about 2 years now...- red-russian1

Drivers window goes down ok but is really slow going up when it’s cold
Not saying that this is what's wrong with your vehicle but I've seen 2 Expy's (2005 and 2008) with front drivers side window regulators that were worn out (pulleys/slides binding). Door latch stuck open
We had a similar issue over the past couple of winters. Our drivers side door wouldn't stay latched when real cold outside. Don't have any gauges. Tried adding freon through a gauge-less can tap but clutch still won't engage. Possibly a bad high pressure switch? It does have freon in the system. Sent from my LM-G710VM using Tapatalk- red-russian1

On vacation, 90+ degrees outside and A/C quit. Back in February, the compressor locked up and blew the belt. Local repair shop fixed it for $900. Supposedly replaced everything, including new hoses and flushed the system. The clutch isn't engaging right now and pressures were in the normal...- red-russian1

I just Googled it and it does look like a dealer installed code alarm system. And yes, it does have remote start. So what are my options, as far as tearing everything out? Would I have to go back to using the key to unlock the doors or what is there for keyless remote? We're hoping to pick up a...- red-russian1

As far as I know, it is OEM. We've only owned this thing for about 1 1/2 years. I did plugs and coils about a year ago. FUN TIMES! On our way home from the in-laws yesterday, we ran into heavy rainfall that lasted about 90 minutes. Shortly after the rain started, the engine began to miss and the CEL started flashing. First Oil Change
We bought our 2005 Expy about 2 years ago with 110k miles. The first thing I did was change all the fluids, except for the antifreeze, over to Amsoil. At just under 1k miles I pulled the dipstick. 2005 Expy EB Edition 4wd quit
Well, I have vacuum and 12.4v @ the vacuum solenoid so I ordered that ($18 on Amazon). That'll be here Friday so I'll update over the weekend. Startup Rattle
How heavy is too heavy? When we first bought our 2005 Expedition about a year-and-a-half ago with 104,000 miles on it, it ran fine until I switched all of the fluids over to Amsoil oil.
