    I did mine in the garage a few months ago and just let the engine idle, by the end of the the install there was a distinct burning smell. if I had to do it again, I would do it while driving around or at least in a more open area (driveway?).

    I noticed this too last week with the snow, I was always under the impression the LED lights generated more heat so they had to ventilate the housings (why we get condensation on the inside?). Maybe they are just ventilating it too much?

    best way to know is to get out a measuring tape and measure. 210″ L x 80″ W x 76-77″ H --- this is for the regular size (non-max). I had to set my stop point on the lift gate height lower than I would have liked because of my garage door.
