Well I don't know what to get. What do you guys have? It would be really nice to be able to link my phone to it with Bluetooth for apps like Phone, Mapquest, or WAZE that I could actually talk and see with both hands on the wheel!
Surely there's something out there for each one????
Yes, I have two Expy's - both SSV's bought at auction. The first, a 2001 I bought from the US. Forest Service Auction in Missoula, MT for $5000 in 2005. Had a couple of small dings and 133,000 when I bought it. Still running strong at 262K miles with ZERO problems. Change the oil, change the coolant, change the tranny fluid, and she just keeps going!
Then there's my 2007 bought in 2017 with 154K miles on it that now has 173K miles on it. Happened to be on the Bidadoo.com website 3 minutes before the auction ended when the price was $4300. Bid $5000 and got it for $4400! SWEET! Have changed the driver's side window regulator 3 times! 3 TIMES! Ran it with an O2 fault after changing all four O2 sensors, but it finally went away after a couple thousand miles. Also had a "can't-get-it-out-of-park problem that YouTube was able to solve for me.
Very nice car but I hated the front bucket seats! So, went to the wrecking yard and got a matching (OK, near matching) console from an F150 ($75) and, with a little retrofit, now I'm happy! LOL! Think I made a copy of where to drill my mounting holes for the console as well so that I wouldn't hit wires. Let me know if you're thinking the same thing and I will search to see if I can find it!
I guess SSV's are weird. The fronts seats are cloth and the back seats are vinyl! Wha's up wi' dat? My dog, Sassy is my constant navigator so it's really a pain for hair-on-seat cleaning! Anybody on here ever changed seat bottoms? How much of a pain is it?
Guess that will do! have a great New Year, you guys. Thanks for all your fine tips!
