Alright, so our AC compressor failed. It was idling and there was a loud squeak and it started blowing hot.
Got that replaced. The gauges say it has enough pressure. But the air isn’t as cold as it used to be. The rear AC is slightly cooler. I also think we may have a issue with the blower motor resistor because when it’s on Max, recirc, and 4 it blows great. But all other settings it blows pretty weak. So on a super hot day it just doesn’t do it’s job.
Now after the Compressor was replaced we started hearing a hissing inside the engine bay as well as from the rear AC lines that are in the vehicle. The High side valve is sputtering a bit with Freon but not super bad(this will be replaced)
But we can’t seem to find where the leak is in the rear.. any ideas?
I know we should have had a full AC replacement all the bells and whistles but money is tight.
Any thoughts on what to do next so we arnt causing more damage or repairs. These 08s don’t seem to have a lot of info online for them..
