I got one word for you: NOT BRILLIANT

I believe all it will need is a software change to end its stupidity. The stupid dial is bad enough, but almost to over 2 seconds between shift (P-D, R to D, D to R) Clunky, slow, jumps into gear at startup, no 2nd gear starts, but great economy w/the extra OD gears IMHO if you spend anytime at 40-60 mph (and I do out here in La-La Island.

I think you are referring to the heavy duty version that already exists. The 10R140 is used for the 6.2L V8, 7.3L V8, and 6.7 PowerStroke Diesel.

I tried to find the article but can’t rember what forum linked it. the 100 was replacing the 80 and the 180 replacing the 140.

I have been super pleased with the 10 speed, I haven't owned a Ford for a long time so no experience with the previous transmission other than my brother has one in his f-150. I absolutely love the 10speed when towing my trailer and honestly don't notice anything weird from it. I would whole heartedly buy another one.

Our tranny was downshifting out of 5th gear super rough. I figured it was just a software fix, but the dealer also replaced the valve body. Took a couple days at the dealer, seems to be fixed for now. Around 26k miles.

It works pretty well for an automatic. The last Ford I had with an automatic was a 1980 T-bird. This one is way better than the older one.

TBH, one of the worst autos I've ever owned. At least it doesn't "linger" when shifting between gears once moving--I've owned cars and trucks where you could practically feel the bands stretching...

I'm very happy with mine. I only have about 20k miles on my Expy and the transmission has been very smooth and trouble free.
