to be honest burch if i let you down ill be letting myself down and i will most likely delete all my post and disappear before anyone ever knows lol.....

that guy does have one bad a$$ expy there but his is a 15.5 inch mines 19 inch his is just tv for dvd mine is whole pc custom built (well its my old rig) his is non touch my is full touch lol. when im done it will be one in all gps music video and web. thinking of a usb obd2 reader as well. ive also got two more 17 or 19s that im thinking of going in the 2nd row im just not sure if ill will be over kill yet or not. i was joking with my wife when she said i should get some 7s for the head rests in the back and i said 7s HA what about 15s then it hit me i have two more displays that are non touch i could use lol. but thats a nother day.
i played with the fiberglass today and wasted some glass mat and resin but it was a learning experience. and it was all free to begin with so its no big deal.
i also thought i had more than enough room in my expy but now i wish i had a excursion lol.
i feel like a copycat too i played with the idea of what to do with my KC/hela knock offs but they went behind the grill like everyone else's. thats what i did for the few hrs it wasnt raining.


it got dark before i finished.
well i hope tomorrow ill get some more practice at mixing resin and have it down by mid afternoon to start the real thing.

That's gonna look awesome, I just finished fiberglassing my double din into the center console and putting an ipad up in the stock headunit location.....after seeing this I don't feel as cool anymore lol

@ kustoms hey man i like what youve done with your truck its nice ive only just started on mine. i was looking through your pics the other day and showed my wife and said i wanted lambo doors. im having trouble with the fiberglass part if you have any tips or want to come down and help me ill buy the beer lol. i think i just need to get some more practice in before i try for the real thing so hope no one is looking for me to get done any time soon

message sent your cup holder glow gave me a idea as well i think im going to get some clear Plexiglas tubing and build some custom cup holders with a glow. probably build it out of the Plexiglas and a Plexiglas bottom then a light coat of white paint on the underside to give the frosted effect or some kind of frosty texture then some surface mount leds around the edges run a low power for night glow. lol man if you keep giving me ideas ill never finish.

I'll reply to the message when I get home since it'd be too much to type on a phone. As far as the frosted effect you're looking for, I just finished making a 50" projector screen and the screen is frosted 1/4" lexan. I made it frosted with a type of tint made for showers and it looks awesome.....and yes that screen is also in my truck. First projector screen I've ever seen in any vehicle

bad a$$ ive been thinking of a fold down lcd set up in liftgate for camping and what not just havent felt like it or had anything to put in other than a 32 in and really just to lazy for it lol. yea maybe you should have used that ipad as a tablet insted of in your truck lol j/k but ive got a xoom and i couldnt live with out it now i use the thing all day and night lol its usaly what im on the forum with. i would love to see some more pics of your truck if you get around to it there arnt very many on your album of your interior one said 2011 interior and that intrigues me i want to see it / do it lol. maybe

The ipad is fully removable, takes like 20 seconds. And yeah I've done a ton since I updated my pics, all the pics are on my phone but for some reason I can't upload them unless I'm on a computer. It all has to be done by tonight since move in day for world of wheels is tomorrow, so I'll try to get some stuff online either tonight or tomorrow

sorry guys i've been really hard up for cash so its put off all work on this project for now i've been working on things that i don't need money for like the nasty door trim untill i get some extra $$$ i'm stuck driving around with a big hole in my dash. also have to get tires on the wifes car as well as a alignment. looking for a part time job to cover the cost of my projects seeing as my business and my wifes paycheck go to bills. trust me i am dieing to finish this already.
so once again sorry ive let this drop off i had planned to finish with what i had but the fibeglass i have isnt made for this kind of thing its great for flat areas but will not do any kind of bends.
and on a side note i love that new beast you got burch looks good.

yea i wouldnt forget about you guys i feel bad for starting the post now i wish i had waited till i was done to post it i hate waiting for a finish on a project lol naw if had i waited i wouldnt have some of the great ideas i have gotten from you guys on how to finish it. i only apologize cause i had planned to have it done by now and it kill's me i've had to pull all my projects on hold.

yea i know its what i plan on but i can't spend a dollar right now on it with out my wife bitting my head off. ive been talking to a buddie of mine i might be getting one of my old jobs back for a little while if i do then with it and what i make from my business all my projects will be back on. so playing the waiting game for now....
