Been thinking of converting the front end to a 03 and was wanting some advice on this, I have done conversions before. But mostly on imports. I can buy everything I need for 250, question is would the 2000 look tacky?

Someone did a 2nd gen Navigator front clip on a 2003 Harley Truck (same front end as yours) and it took quite a bit of fabrication, especially to match up the moulding lines from clip to doors. I'll see if I can find a pic of it. But it looked pretty damn good!!

Here's a link to his pics. Can't find the info on what was needed to finish the clip swap, but he said it wasn't that difficult. He went all out on the build though, so it's all relevant.

2nd gen wont work on 3rd...too much work to make it work
Thats what they said about doing a 95 240sx to a 99 Skyline conversion..
Doing the work isnt the problem, I just want to make sure that "AFTER" the work it looks good. Cause I have a few idea's.
Once I get my SC kit a 2 more days, I am going to get some Lightning badges, and replace the EB badging, since I cant find the manufacture of the rims installed I have talked to a metal shop and will have them make some, but with a twist, The word Ford will be etched out in the Lightning font and in behind that will be a small plate colored ( to match new paint job ).
In my mind it looks good but still wanting opinions

If I wanted a 03 I would have bought one, I dont like the whole new body change but I like the front end style. Thats the purpose of "making it yours" if you are to lazy to work on it and make it unique from everyone else, than why are you here and why do you bother.
This project will take months if I want it done right, I am not one of those 16 yr old morons who think a $10 fart can and a spoiler made from ply wood is cool.. So ricer comment kinda stupid... just saying....

lol. It was about a 00 to 03 front end conversion. But its just in standby till I find out what all its going to take and how its going to look, I may load up 3D smax and do a render first.

im all for the making things yours, my past life was a minitrucker. i think the newer expy front end is wider than the first gen. you may end up having to work on the rear some to make it look equal.(kind of a wide body kit in tuner terms) depending on the style your going for(off road or street), you could pick up a 1-piece fiberglass front from glassworks for the f-150. the contours of the doors/fenders is also different i believe. the forming and fitting could take some serious man hours. but i am in no way saying not to attempt it, i would love to see how it looks once its lined up, smoothed, and molded properly. good luck if you decide to follow through. and give everyone something to look at that where they know something is diff but they cant figure out what.
