I have 2001 Expedition that has the usual electrical problems........no power mirrors, no rear wipers, no back glass opening etc...etc... I pulled the CJB and the GEM off the truck this weekend and found that the CJB had what appeared to be dried rust spots that appeared on one of the bottom corners so I replaced the CJB with a new unit. My problems continue no fix. I removed the GEM off the back of the old CJB unit and before installing it to the new CJB unit I opened it and there was no corrosion or any thing that indicated that the GEM had gotten wet at all. I was clean as a whistle. Is there any way of testing the actual GEM unit? I did pull the battery saver relay and checked for power on both the negative and positive side and got 12volts. I'm not sure if this indicates that the GEM is properly functioning or not. I thoroughly checked all the under dash wires as well as those in the driver's kick panel. I even loosened and checked all the wires under the hood fuse box. Also all fuses are fine. Does anyone have any idea on how to check the GEM properly without taking it to the dealer? Also could someone supply me with a wiring schematic for the power mirrors on this vehicle. Thanks in advance for the help.

Did the new CJB come with new fuses and relays, or did you have to reuse the old ones?

I replaced the GEM unit, and well my rear wiper now work but my power mirrors still do not work. Any idea what could be causing the issue. This truck does not have memory seats in it. I'm stumped. Thanks:confused:
