Does anyone have a link to a site with the 2005 Ford Brochure covering the Expedition? or have a copy they could scan an post here?

I am trying to understand what radio was standard on an Eddie Bauer equipped Expedition.

yeah, but my truck has a single CD with cassette and 4 speakers. I have the original window sticker and it stated that the standard eddie bauer is the audiophile unit with 6 CD changer etc.. and then on the right side under the optional equipment there is a line that says Premium Stereo with CD and Cassette......

May be the original Owner ordered it that way to get a cassette player. It is a little dissapointing as I did not pay much attention to the radio when I bought it. I turned the unit on and it played.... from there I was too focused on mechanical condition. Oh well

why not try to snag one off ebay ??? i wish mine was mp3....

Just get a HU. It'll sound a lot better, especially if you swap out the speakers.

Which of the Ford Head units would be compatible with my vehicle?

The Audiophile System I understand has about 260watts....does higher power amp component to that system come inside the head unit except for the subwoofer, that would be mounted in the driver's side rear area??

i dont know the model number i have the HU put up in the attic but it looks like this

6cd steering wheel controls and SIRIUS i also THINK it has mp3 and phone

its hard to explain but it'll fit... ELVATO do you have the directions to disassamble the dash ?? so i can install and take pics to try and sell it

To start with send pics of the actual unit front and back and send me the ford part number before you go to trouble of putting it in your dash.

I did some digging around on the net this morning and found this list of radios. It says that 2007 units are not backwards compatible with previous year vehicles. It also says these units need to be reprogrammed when they are moved to another vehicle.

it worked when we plugged it into my uncle's 01 f150 so i dont see why it shouldn't work with my 05 expy, and maybe it still could work since alot of the 07-10 expy parts are plug and play with the 03-06 expys
