Hello everyone I am a new member. I have a 2005 expedition 200k miles several months ago I was driving down the road and the engine died at 55mph. I coasted off the road found a number 12 fuse blown. Replaced the fuse it started and ran maybe 1 minute and blew the fuse again. got it towed home and after checking for shorted wires I found this site and read about the fuel pump driver issues. So I bought one replaced it and the truck fired right up. But now it has a miss in it almost like you shut the key off and turn it right back on. It drops about 300 rpms or so it does it at idle when driving and just reving the engine up you can tell it has a dead spot. I don't know were to go now it has no codes the check engine light isn't on. Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.

When you say no codes, did you plug into the data port and check? Or are you saying theirs no check engine light on dash.

Well now it gets a little tougher, but not insurmountable.

First thing I'd do is crawl in there again, and check out the plug and make sure you've got a clean connection on that new fuel pump driver module. Then I'd do a fuel pressure test. On mine about 6 months back, my fuel pump relay went out. On yours it's soldered in. The bucking your describing sounds like electrical. I'd check your battery for clean tight connection. Was the blown fuse issue fixed after the new fpdm? Is #12 fuse for the fuel pump?
